About Me - custom made by the Maker of Heaven and Earth. i am thankful for the life that has been stretched out before me. praise to the One who picked me up when i was broken and brushed the leaves from my hair after i had fallen. praise to the One who gave me my life companion, friend, lover and beloved husband to have and to hold until death do us part. these are my thoughts on any given day. hi, i'm christin joy. i love to drink hot tea while sitting outside in the cold. i like to drink iced tea when sitting outside on a hot day. i love jumping in colored leaves and making snow angels. i still love to color with crayons and colored pencils. i am a singer. a writer. a lover. a wife. a daughter. a sister. an aunt. a friend. a missionary. a teacher. a tea drinker. a crocheter. and most importantly, above everything else, i am a loving and humbled child of the Most High. a follower of Christ. a daughter to my Abba. a trusting servant to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. the bible is my compass. His word is very clear with what He desires for our lives and He is very clear what He promises to do for and through us! i am a filthy undeserving sinner saved from the pits of hell by the Blood of the Lamb. i lived in hong kong from june 1st, 2007 to the end of january 2008. i am slowly but surely in the process of starting a crisis pregnancy center/orphanage. it is called Hope's Refuge. i'm so excited and scared too. its a big step! i was married april 28, 2007 - after being with my beloved 4.5 years - its about time. i'm so excited to be married to my best friend and the love of my life. we grow more in love everyday. more tomorrow than today but today is more than yesterday. i'm 100% prolife - let me explain the sanctity of life. i also believe that we should live modestly, not just in the way we dress but in how we act. i believe strongly in the doctrines of grace. O! the beauty of the gospel!

Favorite Music - this list would take me forever. i love almost everything. its hit or miss, certain days i'm listening to thrashing heavy metal or hardcore and the next i'm listening to josh groban (although i'm probably one of his biggest fans and could listen to him EVERYDAY).
Favorite Shows & Movies - tv: lost, house, arrested development, bleach, heroes. movies: all the rocky movies meaning 1-5 and rocky balboa, karate kid(all of them), back to the future (all of them), star wars [all of them - well... the old ones. ahaha]the wedding singer, emperor's new groove, moulin rouge, indie films, the patriot, the green mile, magnolia, nothing to lose, rat race, man on the moon, almost famous, donnie darko, kung pao, rent, the notebook, lord of the rings, office space, all the pirates of the caribbeans, patch adams, chasing any, dogma, clerks 1&2 (basically anything done by kevin smith), the big lebowski, mean girls, the sound of music, i robot, schindler's list, high fidelity, wizard of oz, seven brides for seven brothers, hunt for red october, fiddler on the roof, the sound of music, disney movies!, the simpsons movie, cloak & dagger, indiana jones (all of them), l.o.t.r and there is more but this is all for now.
